Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for; 

University of Derby & Burton are looking for dynamic, motivated Registered Nurse's to work within our custom built department as part of our team providing high quality care to our patients. We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and hardworking Band 5 Registered Nurse's to work within the Emergency Department.

The Emergency Department at the Burton Queens is a busy ED, seeing on average 130,000 patients per year.

The Emergency Department consists of a 3 bedded resuscitation unit, 3 bay initial assessment area known as pit-stop, 12 bay Majors area and a dedicated area for patients presenting with Minor injury or illness. We are supported by a Matron, 7 Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses, and Clinical Educator and provide opportunities for training and development. We work closely with University of Wolverhampton and are committed to the professional development of our staff in order to progress within Emergency Medicine.

The team is made up of consultants, staff grade doctors, junior doctors, emergency nurse practitioners, nurses, health care assistants, reception/secretarial staff and a housekeeper. If you have the drive and determination to work in a dynamic and changing department we would like to hear from you.
