Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for; 

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our inpatient Physiotherapy based at Queens Hospital, Burton on Trent, working as an Assistant Practitioner within our Physiotherapy team.

You must be well motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering high quality patient care. You should be educated to NVQ level III or equivalent and have previous Therapy Assistant experience.

You will be expected to demonstrate excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Your clinical skills must be developed to a high standard, demonstrating the ability to manage your own patient list and implement progression of patient treatments.

A positive approach to flexible working is essential and you will be expected to contribute to providing a 7 day physiotherapy service as part of your contracted hours. This is a rota basis and usually one weekend each month.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and will work closely with other members of the ward teams including nurses, healthcare support workers and doctors. Excellent communication skills are needed for this post. You will be supported to develop in your role however a good understanding of Therapy within an acute hospital environment is needed alongside basic clinical knowledge.
