We require enthusiastic, organised and flexible individuals to work as a Pathway Co-ordinators (Waiting list) within the Breast Unit.

Responsibilities of this role will include administration and clerical support to enable the provision of the Screening service for the Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire Breast Screening program. This will involve appointment management, clinic preparation (notes and breast packets), answering telephone queries and admin support within the Breast Service.

The Breast Service is delivered across Southern Derbyshire and South Staffordshire with static Breast Units at the Royal Derby Hospital and Queens Hospital Burton. The main base for this role will be at the Royal Derby Hospital however there may be occasional need to support the Admin and Clerical team in the Burton Breast Unit.

Applicants must be confident communicators with the ability to liaise with clinicians, radiographic staff and patients. Essential qualities strong organisational/time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Flexibility is required as the post holders will be required to work in different areas of Imaging in order to meet service needs.

Applicants should have a minimum of one years experience of working in a patient orientated environment. Applicants must be experienced in using NHS I.T. systems, with a sound understanding of appointment/waiting list management.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.

Core skills/qualifications include IT literacy, good written and verbal communication skills, educated to NVQ level III in Business administration or equivalent and English Language at O’ level/GCSE.
