Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for; 

We need an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with an analytical mind to join our thriving Business Intelligence Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

This Senior Insight Analyst role includes: interpreting complex statistics from the wider business of the Trust; presenting concise and actionable findings to managers and clinicians and working on cross-cutting information projects to develop our suite of information products. The successful post holder will have the opportunity to present reports at Senior level Trust meetings to inform the decision making of both Clinicians and Trust managers.

You will possess an eye for detail and have the willingness to develop both as part of a team and excel individually. The role itself requires strong project skills; experience of presenting performance metrics sourced from a variety of clinical systems, dealing with commissioning datasets,  data modelling and contributing to a team dedicated to improving the technical output of the department.  You will also possess a very high standard of interpersonal, influencing and communication skills; have excellent analytical skills and a strong desire to improve the quality of information flow within the Trust.

Experience of using Excel to interpret and summarise data is essential, as is a keen sense for effectively communicating with data, in particular using the Trust’s SQL data warehouse, SSRS reporting and QlikView dashboards.
