Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for; 

Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust would like to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Nurse Specialist to join our established Cardiac Rehabilitation Service.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a high level of knowledge of cardiovascular disease (CVD) to deliver clinical expertise in providing care to patients in all aspects of secondary coronary heart disease.

You will be a Specialists Nurse with substantial recent cardiology experience to work as part of our established cardiac rehabilitation team. You should also have demonstrable proven practice working experience within a cardiac rehabilitation setting, and be able to work independently; demonstrating advanced clinical communication, leadership and organizational skills.

This role comprises supporting cardiac patients and their carers throughout their care pathway from acute admission to delivering group based cardiac rehabilitation in acute and community settings.

This post also involves delivering cardiac rehabilitation programmes in the community setting and requires the post holder to drive a car.
