Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for; 

An opportunity has arisen for a flexible and motivated individual to join our gynae oncology Team as a band 3 Medical Secretary.  

The team compromises of a band 4 team leader and two band 3s who provide a high quality and efficient service to our four gynae oncologists. Although this role is the single point of contact for one of these consultants the team as a whole supports all four consultants, cross covering as necessary. You should have a flexible approach to working alongside different members of the team and be able work  independently as required.

It is essential that you have a good standard of English to O level/GCSE or equivalent and RSA/OCR level III, or equivalent knowledge and skills. Audio typing qualification or experience.. NVQ level III Business and Administration or equivalent knowledge and skills. Demonstrable experience working in an administrative support secretarial role and understanding of medical terminology. Excellent communication skills are essential given this specialty.
