Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for;

Are you interested in a career in pharmacy? Are you innovative and forward thinking? This may be the position you’re looking for.

We are looking for someone to become a member our Pharmacy Team, where you will provide support in delivering a high quality service to all pharmacy customers. Your role will include, amongst others:

  • Dispensing Inpatient and Outpatient prescriptions and discharge medication.
  • Meeting and greeting people at the reception hatch and accepting outpatient prescriptions and taking prescription charges.
  • Stock control and associated tasks relating to stock management.

The department is a 24 hour department and the core hours for the dispensary are 8.00am until 8.00pm. You will also be required to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

The Main Dispensary

  • The innovative use of IT is important to us and we are continually looking for new opportunities. We have robotic dispensing, bar-coded prescription tracking and electronic prescribing and discharge systems.
  • The department is friendly and supportive, operating within a modern environment having gone through a full refurbishment in winter 2017.

This position would suit someone with a keen eye for detail and who is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including other healthcare professionals and members of the public. You will be a good team player, enthusiastic and proactive with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

You will be required to complete the NVQ level 2 course and you will gain a certificate in Pharmacy Services.

Closing Date: 20 May 2019
Interviews will be held on 3 June 2019
